OFT Announcement

Wightlink welcome today’s announcement from the OFT that the cross-Solent ferry market will not be referred to the Competition Commission for further investigation.
The cross-Solent ferry market is highly competitive and are pleased that the OFT’s final report has demonstrated that the market is working well for our customers.
Wightlink have invested heavily in new vessels and shore-side infrastructure. New ferries are operating on the Lymington-Yarmouth route and new catamarans entered service on the Portsmouth-Ryde last month (September)
Wightlink are committed to continuing to invest in and develop the business and to improving customer service.
