Green-fingered
enthusiasts should make their way over to the Isle of Wight
for the Island’s own Garden Show held at Robin Hill Country
Park on 5th – 7th May. Now in its second year and sponsored
by Wightlink, the Robin Hill Garden Show attracts some of
the UK’s top RHS show-winning nurseries along with local
Island exhibitors. Set in 88 acres of beautiful woodland,
Robin Hill Country Park is a stunning setting for the event
and new this year are woodland ponds and bluebell walks
which will be ready in time for the show. Plant lovers will
be spoilt for choice and all visitors can sample the
delicacies at the ‘Tastes of the Island’ marquee.
Visitors to the
show will be able to pick up free copies of Wightlink’s Rare
Plant Trail containing the new supplement – Some Like It Hot
– which spotlights plants that thrive in drought conditions.
Wightlink Ferries (0870 582 7744
www.wightlink.co.uk) is offering an inclusive travel and
entry day return ticket which costs from £60 and is valid
for a car and up to four passengers travelling from
