Wightlink supports the Lucie
Blackman trust and the Safety Text scheme
SafetyText is a delayed texting solution to personal safety.
Write a text in a NEW way, and YOU decide when your friend will
receive it. When you are home safe, then you can cancel it. The safety
of young people has become a priority for Lucie Blackman's father,
after she was murdered in Tokyo five years ago. Safety text was
inspired by his seven month search for her.

Sponsored individuals
Wightlink supports individuals, orchestras and teams from the Isle of Wight
by providing complimentary or heavily discounted travel to and from
competitions, festivals and ongoing tuition on the mainland.
Quite often the sheer number of journeys which need to be made in pursuance
of a sporting or arts goal has a huge impact on individuals, team or club
finances and a deciding factor in whether they can pursue their training and
compete at a regional or national level.
By providing free or concessionary travel Wightlink can help to ensure that
those people flourish and their success benefits the Isle of Wight as a
whole.
