Isle of Wight Pride 2018Book
Isle of Wight Pride returns to Ryde in 2018 and, as official UK Pride host, it’s set to be spectacularly grand with a host of big name acts.
IW Pride 2017, the first Pride festival on the Island, was a huge hit, celebrating tolerance, diversity and the vibrant LGBTQ community. It was so successful that, in October 2017, the Isle of Wight beat tough competition and won the right to host UK Pride 2018.
Taking place on Saturday, 21 July 2018, it’s set to be enormously popular with plenty to enjoy on the day. The parade will travel through Ryde onto Union Street and through to the Pride site on the seafront – see a map showing the route below. There you will find a fantastic Pride Village, with food, drinks and market stalls, as well as an acoustic stage and family friendly areas.
Acts on the day include Conchita Wurst, a Gok Wan DJ set, Lady Gaga and Dolly Parton tribute acts and award-winning cabaret artist Danny Beard.
The town of Ryde couldn’t be better suited to its role of host, with glorious beaches on which to party, tranquil beauty spots in which to relax and plenty of places to eat and drink.
Isle of Wight Pride is easy to get to. Our FastCat service from Portsmouth Harbour will drop you straight into the action in Ryde in just 22 minutes. We’ll be laying on extra sailings throughout the day – check our service status page for more information.
