Described by the organisers as ‘challenging, enjoyable and sublimely muddy’, competitors are promised to enjoy the the thrill of running in previously uncharted territory. The farm venue has only one bridleway running through it, the rest is private land and only open especially for this event.

The route has been carefully designed to be both interesting and challenging and to provide the runner with the opportunity to stretch themselves ‘physically, mentally and emotionally’. The event is geared towards team participants and the obstacles often require a ‘joined up’ thinking approach and ability to work together as one, to achieve a fast and effective solution. The main course is 10km with the 5km Bull Run utilising the first half of the course.

Three Gates Farm is only yards away from the beautiful Newtown Creek close to the port of Yarmouth. A mixed farm of over 450 acres offering variable terrain including a meandering river, dense woodland criss-crossed by miles of pathways, scrubland, hardcore tracks and acres of open grassland. It’s set to be one of the Isle of Wight’s most challenging events.
