Commercial Services
We are the biggest, most flexible link between the Island and the mainland for commercial traffic.
With sailings every half an hour at peak times, we make over 68,000 trips across the Solent a year. Wherever you are heading, our two convenient RO-RO ferry routes mean that there’s a handy way to get there.
They’re quick too! It only takes around 40 minutes to get between Portsmouth and Fishbourne, and at a mere 35 minutes, there’s no faster way to get your vehicles over the Solent than the Lymington to Yarmouth route. With our great facilities and customer service, it’s also a very comfortable way to cross.
Here are some more reasons to travel with us:
- Superb record of reliability, especially during inclement weather
- Block bookings available for regular scheduled runs, even during busy holiday periods
- Printed copy of block booking reservations confirmed to client

Wightlink pick up an award at the UK Coach Awards 2011
Over 60 individuals, companies and organisations from across the UK coach and coach tourism industry were recognised and rewarded for their excellence and good practice at the Belmont International UK Coach Awards, which took place on Thursday 7th April at Manchester’s famous Piccadilly Hotel.
Wightlink claimed the Best Coach Industry Suppier Sea Crossing Award, which was collected by Ian Winn, Sales Director, and John Bright, Sales Support Manager.
"The judges were really impressed,” added Chris Cheek. “There's some really clever thinking and innovation going on all over the country – delivering what matters: better products and better trips for our customers. Whether it's using the internet and other new media or just thinking things through, people really are working very hard, and thoroughly deserve the recognition that the UK Coach Awards delivered on Thursday night.”
