Island roads are narrow, please travel in a clockwise direction wherever possible (e.g. Ryde - Shanklin - Blackgang - Alum Bay - Newport - Ryde) to minimise congestion both at stopping places and on the narrower roads.

A one-way system exists for coaches between Ventnor and Niton. Travel Ventnor - St Lawrence - Niton westbound and Niton Whitwell - Ventnor eastbound.

When leaving Winkle Street, Calbourne, continue south until Brighstone is reached.

Whippingham Church should be approached from the south only and coaches should continue into East Cowes.
