  • Enjoy the grandeur of Queen Victoria’s Holiday home built in the style of an Italian villa.

  • Set in acres of beautiful grounds with ornamental rose gardens, it is easy to see why this house was one of Queen Victoria’s favourite places.

  • It was 100 years ago that she died in the home that was designed by her beloved Prince Albert.

  • Take a horse and carriage ride to the Swiss Cottage - the playground for the children of the royal household. It is crammed with objects and crafts from around the world.

  • The haunt of the young Queen Victoria still retains a strong atmosphere of its Victorian heyday.

  • Reputed to be have been the healthiest places to live in Britain, it soon gained a large population of people seeking the healthy properties of this pure air and tranquil resort.

  • The rows of Victorian villas can still be seen on the Ventnor skyline.

  • Due to its position on the island with a sub-tropical climate, Ventnor has a beautiful Botanical Gardens with many rare plants that fail to grow anywhere else in England plus 100 year old palms, medicinal herb garden and the Temperate House, containing many exotic plants.
