Getting to the Isle of Wight by ferry has never been more convenient or enjoyable.
If you’re coming by car, we have two well-connected ports in Portsmouth and Lymington that are easily accessed from the UK motorway network.
Our Portsmouth to Fishbourne car ferry will get you across the Solent in just 45 minutes and is perfect for those coming from London and the south east while our Lymington to Yarmouth car ferry takes only 40 minutes and is ideal if you’re coming from the east.
If you’re travelling by train from anywhere in the country, just head for Portsmouth Harbour station, hop off the train and it’s just a few steps to our FastCat Terminal, from where we’ll whisk you over to Ryde in around 20 minutes.
Of course, foot passengers are welcome to use our Lymington and Portsmouth car ferry services, too. So just choose the route that’s best for you.
The Isle of Wight isn’t just about beaches, though. From kayaking to cycling, it’s tailor-made for those who want to get out into the fresh air and get active.
If that’s not enough, though, you can try your hand at a number of different activities on the Island, including paddle boarding, tree climbing and pretty much everything in between.
Bring your canine companion along for the fun, too, with plenty of dog-friendly beaches and attractions throughout the Island. Pets are welcome on our ferries at no extra cost.
Rich culture and the Isle of Wight go hand in hand.
Whether you’re visiting Osborne, the holiday home of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and their nine children, or roaming the grounds of Quarr Abbey, where you’ll find an order of Benedictine monks, the Island is brimming with history and heritage.
No doubt all that culture will make you hungry, though. You’ll be pleased to hear the Isle of Wight is teeming with incredible eateries, many offering locally-sourced food.
From the finest cuts of beef at the Cow Co to the wackiest flavours of the Garlic Farm – including garlic vodka and garlic ice cream – there really is something for everyone.
