National Express has appointed Wightlink as its local agent in Ryde, providing Isle of Wight residents with a convenient route to booking travel with the UK's largest scheduled coach operator to around 900 UK destinations daily. Bookings can now be made at Wightlink's Ryde Pier Head ticket office and a range of special deals are on offer.

People aged 60 and over or the registered disabled can get 1/3 off travel by purchasing a special coachcard for just £10 for one year. Young people, aged 16-26, and students of any age are eligible to receive a 30% discount on National Express adult fares by buying a coachcard for just £10 for one year.

National Express family 1+1 and 2+2 tickets are also on offer from Wightlink, valid for parents and grandparents to use with children and enabling kinds to travel free when adults pay the normal adult fare.

National Express and local bus and coach services arrive directly outside the Portsmouth Harbour Catamaran Terminal at Portsmouth Harbour Station and The Hard Bus Interchange. 

 

By Train

Several railway companies run direct trains to Portsmouth Harbour from destinations such as London Waterloo, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff and Southampton.

These services run directly to the Portsmouth Harbour Catamaran Terminal (Portsmouth Harbour Station and our Catamaran Terminal are within the same interchange) so getting across the the Isle of Wight is easy. You can get from London Waterloo to Ryde on the IOW in just over 2 hours.

On the Isle of Wight, Island Line services run directly to the Ryde Pier Head Catamaran Terminal (Ryde Pier Head Station is within the same interchange as our Catamaran Terminal) from Shanklin.

Just ask for a through ticket from your local station to any Island destination!

National Rail run trains to Lymington Pier and is located in close proximatey to the Lymington Car Ferry Terminal. Lymington Pier is well connected with a branch line connecting to the mainline London - Southampton - Bournemouth service at Brockenhurst.

From the Island

You can book your rail travel at our Ryde Pier Head ticket office at the same time as your ferry crossing, enabling you to travel anywhere in the country on one ticket. You can get railcard discounts too if you have one.
