A Multilink Passenger Pass is a ticket that offers a discounted flat-fare for regular or occasional travellers.

Refundable Cancellations made within 1 hour of scheduled sailing are non-refundable
Check in rules
  • Foot passengers must check in no later than 15 minutes before scheduled sailing with a valid ticket
  • Disabled Travel Scheme or Accessible Travel bookings must check in no later than 30 minutes before scheduled sailing but no earlier than one hour before scheduled sailing time
  • We will try to accommodate late arrivals (those up to 2 hours late), provided there is space to do so, on the next available crossing
  • Arrivals more than 2 hours after scheduled sailing time shall be classified as a No Show, and a new ticket must be purchased

How can I get a Multilink Passenger Pass?

Multilink Passes can be bought from all Wightlink Ticket Offices. You’ll need to bring:

Multilink Pass Photo IDto be shown at time of purchase and for travel Passport photo also required Application form and additional requirements
Adult, Child5-15 N/A
Student Valid NUS/Student Rider/UCAS/NUS Extra card (for apprentices) or IW College Student ID card.

Photo ID
We accept photo driving licence, Passport or HM forces ID cards. Alternatively, bring a passport sized photo with you at the time of purchase and we can issue a Wightlink Photo ID card to use with your Mutlilink Pass or Season Ticket.

Multilink-page

We have a range of Multilink Passes available. Once you have purchased a Pass, it cannot be upgraded to a different Multilink product as the level of discount is set. E.g. A Pass of 20 may only be topped up with another Pass of 20. Although you can top up multiple times, this does not increase the level of discount.

Multilink Passenger Pass – Yes, you will be boarded with pre-booked customers at busy times (such as Island festival periods). Just remember to arrive 15 minutes before your sailing and let a member of our team know.

Multilink Vehicle Pass – Yes, you receive a flat rate on a trailer or caravan being towed by your Multilink vehicle. Simply book your trailer with your Multilink booking online or Contact us if you’d like to add the trailer to an existing Multilink booking.

Yes, you can claim back 75% of any unused journeys, providing you request a refund no later than 30 days after the expiry of your Multilink Pass.

Return your Pass/es with a letter requesting a refund to Contact centre, Wightlink Ltd, Gunwharf Road, Portsmouth, PO1 2LA. Letter must include sort-code, bank account number and signature.

Using your Multilink Pass

Logging into your Multilink account
First you’ll need an online account that’s connected to your Multilink Pass. If you’re not already set up for this then fill out the Multilink online setup form and we’ll get you set up. You can then login online.

Cancelling and changing a booking
Please cancel any journeys you no longer require as another passenger may need this space.
To cancel or change a journey you have booked please visit the My bookings page.

Topping up your Multilink Pass
You can top up your Multilink Pass online, by phone, or by visiting our Wightlink Ticket Office.

Please note: Once you have purchased a Pass, it cannot be upgraded to a different Multilink product as the level of discount is set. E.g. A Pass of 20 may only be topped up with another Pass of 20. Although you can top up multiple times, this does not increase the level of discount. You can also purchase an additional pass of a different size to receive that level of discount.

We now offer free Travel Updates via SMS or email by simply signing up online or completing a form at one of our Ticket Offices. You can even choose which route you would like to receive Travel Updates for.
