The Needles Park
The Needles Park is a great way to keep the family entertained for a day; and at a great price too. With entrance to the park completely free, it is only the rides you chose to go on that need to be paid for.
The Needles Park
Start your day with a stomach clenching ride on the chairlift – getting you from the top of the cliff to the bottom in no time at all. It’s the best way to see the spectacular views of the picturesque Needles Rocks and Lighthouse, the multi-coloured sand cliffs, and the sea is often a stunning turquoise colour too!.
There something for children and adults of every age: whether it’s the teacup ride, Spincycle or the Water Walkerz. You can spend some time learning how sweets are made in the Sweet Manufactory, or watching Alum Bay Glass being blown in the workshop.
With 21 distinct colours of naturally occurring sand Alum Bay is a unique geological site that has over the years attracted sand collectors worldwide, most notably Queen Victoria. It really is a must for any visitor to the Isle of Wight to visit the sand shop and try your hand at making your very own sand souvenir.
The Needles Park is a great attraction for families; with plenty of fun packed rides to entertain the kids including the carousel, Jurassic golf and probably the most popular of all Junior Driver where kids get the chance to drive around a track and get their very own Isle of Wight driving licence as a souvenir!
Eating at the Needles Park
There are plenty of places throughout the park to stop off and grab a quick snack: or if you’ve got a hungry family you need to feed then you can have a filling lunch at one of the restaurants, or head to the licensed bar and outdoor kiosks that serve a wide range of food and drinks.
Before heading home, stop off at the Victorian inspired shop to pick up a range of memorabilia as a way to remember the day. Then jump back on the chairlift for one last ride!
