The Crown Inn
Recently awarded 'AA Britian's Best Pub Guide 2011' The Crown Inn is set in a pretty village in the picturesque West of the Isle of Wight. In summer arrum lillies decorate the garden stream and a Wendy House, slide and swings to keep youngsters amused. The building dates in parts from the 17th century and different floor levels attest to many alterations. Log fires, antique furniture, and a friendly female ghost who disapproves of card playing complete the picture of this traditional family run-pub. The owners are pleased to announce they were awarded 'Cask Marque Accrediation' for the quality of their 6 real ale beers which include an island brew. You will also find them in 'CAMRA'S Good Beer Guide 2011.
All the food is homemade and they offer a wide selection of food within their menu for all tastes, including a vegetarian section, and consists of many favourites based on locally sourced lamb and beef, game in winter and fish in summer.' The award winning specials board usually features ten dishes, which may include sea bass, salmon, roasted duck plus many more tempting dishes.
