V-Dub Island Festival
Thursday 14 - Monday 18 August 2014

East Afton Farm, Newport Road, Freshwater

Afton Downs, the original home of the 1970s Isle of Wight Festival, will play host to V-Dub Island on 14-18 August 2014, for all things Volkswagen.

Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane all you VW enthusiasts as you shake out your flares and dust off those platforms because this year, the family friendly festival is going flower power themed! The event will be bursting at the seams with outstanding live music, family fun and, of course, VWs of all shapes and sizes.

A full line-up of entertainment and music will be announced shortly but be sure to expect the best music, a fantastic drive-out through the most stunning countryside the beautiful Isle of Wight has to offer, and all the regular VW event activities. These include an auto jumble, the 'Show and Shine' competition plus guided woodland walks for families with survival skills talks, and a beach fossil walk.

All festival favourites will be back again this year too: the Big Drive Out, Run to the Surf, children’s workshops, a traditional fun fair, over 50 live bands and an onsite beach, are just a few of the attractions you can look forward to.

New for this year is Soap box Derby, Tug o War and Children’s Story Telling. Plus there will be better options for younger families with a much larger beach and children’s play area, a new 45ft slide and a bigger skate ramp.

With so much to see and do from dawn to dusk, V-Dub Island will be a family weekend to remember!
