The D-Day Museum opened in Portsmouth in 1984 to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of D-Day. Its displays the Overlord Embroidery which pays tribute to the sacrifice of those who took part in Operation Overlord.

NEW for 2011 the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth is now offering guided tours of the museum, ensuring a truly memorable experience for their visitors.

Opening Times and Special Events

Open: All year round, open daily except 24-26th December

April - September 10.00am - 5.30pm*
October - March 10.00am - 5.00pm*

*Last entry to the D-Day Museum is 30 minutes before closing time.
We suggest you allow 1.5 to 2 hours in total for your visit to the museum.
