Eling Tide Mill is a water mill that harnesses the power of the tide to grind wheat into wholemeal flour. Situated on the edge of Southampton Water beside the renowned New Forest, there has been a mill on the site for over 900 years.
See natural tide power harnessed in the only surviving tide mill producing wholemeal flour in a centuries-old tradition - founded over 900 years ago. Free Parking, gift shop with stoneground flour for sale, neighbouring Heritage Centre with cafe and walks through Eling village to Saxon Church and Southampton Water or along the River Test towards Totton.
Opening Times and Special Events
Open: All year round, except for 13th December 2010 - 12th January 2011.
Wednesday-Sunday 10am-4pm and also Bank Holiday Mondays.
