Take an ‘Adventure in a Day’ on the Isle of Wight

Everyone loves to get away from it all, and take an adventure in a new – or favourite – location. For many people, however, it can seem impossible to find the time to invest in a real getaway. Enter the era of micro- (or pocket) adventures. The perfect way to re-charge, reflect and get those endorphins kicking in again.

We think that escaping is important – and The Isle of Wight offers a huge range of activities, from windsurfing to trail walking, and all within easy distance from the mainland UK. Just a quick, convenient ferry over the Solent and you arrive to your own personal Island escape, where you can experience an entire adventure in just one day – and be back to your own bed that evening.

To highlight these possibilities, we are creating a series of weekly blogs that focus on pocket adventures for the time-poor on the Isle of Wight. Each week, for seven weeks, we’ll highlight a new activity that is sure to entice you to walk away from your desk and plan a spontaneous getaway – which you can take in just a one-day trip. More and more people are looking for ways to escape without breaking the bank or sacrificing precious days off work – and the Isle of Wight is the perfect place for a physical, mental and spiritual adventure, without having to go too far.

Not only are these adventures excellent for your physical health, but they are good for the mind, too. Getting away – even for just a day or weekend – can help you to decompress after a long week, month – even year! Spring is now truly upon us and summer is just on the horizon, so why not take this opportunity to see what you could escape to for a day or two on the Isle of Wight.
