Portsmouth & Southsea Festival

A group of Portsmouth based promoters have joined forces and secured permission from Portsmouth City Council to stage a four day music festival on Castle Field, Southsea!

The Portsmouth & Southsea Festival 2008 will take place on the 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th of October 2008.

What is unusual about this event is that festival-goers will not have to worry about the rain and mud as it is being held in a specially constructed tent called a Kayam that can hold over 8,000 people which has been used in the past for such events as the Radio 1 ‘Big Weekend’.

Local and International Rock & Indie bands will be performing.

The Festival will be held on Castle Field from 9th-12th October 2008, in a huge Kayam marquee, which holds 8,000 people. There will also be a second stage which will compliment the main arena.
