Press release publish date: 3:12 pm Monday, October 23rd, 2017
Islanders can enjoy some cheap thrills at a spectacular new Hallowe’en event courtesy of Wightlink.
The ferry company is offering discounted travel for those brave enough to visit Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth this half term for the gruesome live scare attraction Torment – a 7,000 square foot immersive walk-through Halloween experience themed as a Victorian manor house.
Scare attractions such as Torment are typically seen at venues such as Alton Towers, and bring together live actors, custom built scenery, special effects and a huge dose of screams and laughs to create an immersive experience.
And Islanders wishing to join in the fun – which runs until October 29 – can take advantage of a special Wightlink offer, slashing prices by almost a third. On presentation of their event ticket at Ryde Pier Ticket Office they will be able to purchase a discounted day return foot passenger ticket for the following prices:
Wightlink Business Development Director Clive Tilley says: “We are always keen to work with mainland events and attractions to make it easy and affordable for Islanders to visit them. We will shortly be announcing details of more seasonal travel offers, so watch this space.”
