Sandown
Sandown has a bustling centre, full of shops, restaurants, bars &
amusements. Its many attractions, including golden beach, esplanade,
theatre, cinema, amusement park, zoo & museum, make it the Island’s premier
resort.
Shanklin
Although Shanklin neighbours Sandown, it’s altogether a more sedate
place, with a thatched Old Village area, elegant Victorian villas, public
gardens and a great beach.
Ventnor
One of the steepest & most sheltered towns in Britain. Dubbed ‘England’s
Madeira’ by the Victorians; they developed the town, building villas and
hotels on its cliff face. The seaside resort winds uphill via corkscrew
turns and zig-zagging streets to a busy town higher up on the cliff top.
