We have 2 terminals in Portsmouth - Portsmouth Harbour for the passenger catamaran to Ryde and the Gunwharf Terminal for the car ferry to Fishbourne.

Portsmouth Harbour Station

If you are travelling on the catamaran service you can grab yourself a drink or snack at the Coffee Quay situated in the terminal to enjoy during the short crossing.
The Quayside cafés are open from early until late with times varying between cafés.

National Rail, National Express and local bus and coach services arrive directly outside the catamaran terminal at  Portsmouth Harbour Station and The Hard bus Interchange).

Please arrive at the terminal at least 15 minutes prior to sailing time is collecting tickets or connecting from train services.

Gunwharf Terminal

Gunwharf Road, Portsmouth, PO1 2LA

Gunwharf Road car ferry terminal is a 10 minute walk from Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station and The Hard Interchange bus station. National Rail and bus and coach services direct to the catamaran terminal (Portsmouth Harbour Station and The Hard bus station are within the same interchange as the FastCat terminal).
In the summer a shuttle bus operates between the Continental Ferry Port and The Hard Interchange for connections to the catamaran.

Quay Convenience and Coffee Quay - Costa Coffee Coming soon

At our Portsmouth Gunwharf Car Ferry Terminal you will find Quay Convenience, a purpose- built convenience store serving a range of hot food and beverages. Here you can enjoy  freshly prepared baguettes and sandwiches made on the premises and a fresh range of doughnuts and pastries.  Also available are a range of products including newspapers, magazines, confectionery and alcohol. This is handy if you need to make last minute purchases like toiletries and cleaning products. Quay Convenience is open 7 days a week from 0700 hours to 2100 hours.

Vending machines are also available at all terminals and across all our Portsmouth - Fishbourne car ferries.

Parking at Portsmouth

There is a car park opposite the car ferry terminal in Gunwharf Road (approximately a 10 minute walk to the catamaran terminal) click the map for a larger version.

Monthly Parking Season Tickets are available to Foot Passenger Multilink Ticket and Season Ticket Holders at the following rates depending on the ferry ticket(s) held:

Click for Portsmouth City Council Parking pages. Broad Street car park and Camber Quay car park are the closet to the Gunwharf Road car ferry terminal.

Gunwharf Quays Car Park

We have negotiated special rates with Gunwharf Quays for 24 hour parking for Wightlink Customers (on production of a valid Wightlink Ticket/receipt) of just £7.00 per 24 hour period.  Simply present your Wightlink ticket or receipt at the Gunwharf Quays car park office, during office opening hours to take advantage of this offer. If not in possession of your ticket when travelling please ensure you ask for a receipt at our ticket office when collecting your tickets.

Discounted parking to Isle of Wight festival & Bestival goers at a rate of £12 per day. subject to production of a festival ticket (wristband) and only available during office opening hours. Pre paid tickets are available from the office.

Over sized vehicles (over 2.2 meters high) can park in the gravel pit located between the taxi drop off and taxi pick up points.
