Britain's best ferry operator

British Travel Award winners!

We’re incredibly proud to have been voted the Best Ferry Operator for Routes from/to UK Ports at the prestigious British Travel Awards.

Thanks to the votes from thousands of happy cross-Solent customers, we took home the gong this year after picking up silver in the same category in 2022.

We’d like to thank everyone who took their time to give us their vote and also pass on our congratulations to our ferry peers from Brittany Ferries and P&O Ferries, who picked up silver and bronze awards respectively.

What are the British Travel Awards?

The British Travel Awards is one of the biggest UK awards organisations that invites votes from customers.

Over 1.5 million votes were cast across a huge range of categories, including cruise, air travel, hotels, destination travel companies and many more.

Winners are announced every year in around November.

Why choose us

Every year, we bring 4.2 million people together through three convenient ferry routes, linking the mainland with the Isle of Wight.

We connect you with loved ones, business meetings, holidays, tradespeople, festivals, deliveries, wildlife and everything in between. And we’re true believers that your getaway starts on board, which is why we’ve fitted our ferries to the highest standards – with sun decks, cafés serving locally-sourced food and drink and even play areas, so families can let the kids roam free.

But that’s not all – find three reasons why we feel we’re worthy award-winners below.

Punctual, reliable and regular service

Across our three routes linking Hampshire with the Isle of Wight, on average we run over 140 sailings a day. So you know that you can get where you need to be, when you need to be there.

Punctuality and reliability are vital to the service you rely on – in October 2023, 99.5% of our scheduled crossings took place and 95.7% of these left within five minutes of their original departure time.

With a focus on young people, we help with travel for competitions, events and exhibitions.

We also work with charities in the local area, both on the Island and mainland, supporting a variety of projects.

Leading the way for a greener future

Climate change is happening and we want to be part of the solution. That’s why we have our Green Solent Project, and initiative to protect the land, air and sea that surrounds us.

With a pledge to achieve net-zero carbon emissions within the next decade, we have ambitious plans to launch a fully-electric vehicle ferry as well as electrifying our existing fleet.
