Calbourne Water Mill, one of the oldest working water mills in the country, is set in 35 acres of stunning rural landscape.
Enjoy the naturally beautiful area, filled with wildlife such as peacocks, doves, red squirrels and, depending on the season, even eels.
There’s so much to do, from looking around the working Water Mill and small War Museum, to animal spotting on your walk through the ancient oak woodlands and golf putting on the golf course. With a selection of kids activities, such as a clay-play area and Lego tables, there’s something to keep the little ones happy too.
Top your visit off with a visit to the wonderful on site cafe, serving a delicious menu of daily specials, hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, home made cakes, cream teas and even it’s own children’s food selection. All food is freshly made, using their own flour and oats and local island produce wherever possible.
At the end of your visit, take home a souvenir or gift from the gift shop, which even sells some of their own Water Mill Pottery that’s hand made on site. But don’t worry, there’s always the option to visit again – pay once and come back again free for the rest of your holiday!
