Take a trip back in time with Isle of Wight Steam Railway, the Heritage Railway Association winner of Outstanding Tourist Attraction.
Up until the 1950s, the Isle of wight had some 55 miles of railway lines connecting towns and villages.
Today, you can travel through five miles of unspoiled Island countryside in the preserved trains and associated infrastructure, from traditional operating equipment through to old railway buildings.
Discover the idyllic views of the Island’s unspoilt countryside from your journey in beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages – you may even spot a red squirrel or deer darting away from the train as you pass through. This is the perfect way to recapture the days of the historic branch line railway. And, for a small extra charge, you can take your dog on board too!
At this time, this feature is only available for cars and vans
