Isle of Wight Spring Walking Festival

Following the success and popularity of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival, it’s returning for it’s 25th anniversary in 2024, offering over 100 walks, across 18 days, for all ages and abilities.
The festival is split across the Spring and Autumn seasons with the spring event taking place from 11 – 19 May 2024.
Offering a sunny adventure through the Island’s unique landscape, walkers can expect routes through the countryside and along the coast, each vista as breath-taking as the next and home to thriving wildlife and colourful springtime flora and fauna.
The spring Walking Festival will also include the popular fundraising event, “Walk the Wight” in support of local hospice Mountbatten, which sees a variety of walks open to all – including the 26.5-mile trek from one side of the Isle of Wight to the other.
An event for keen hikers, relaxed wanderers, and curious explorers alike, the Isle of Wight Walking Festival is a friendly coming together in the great outdoors for all ages, offering a chance to meet new people, learn and discover the many wonders of the Wight.
With a plethora of routes on offer to suit all abilities, the Isle of Wight Walking Festival is an inclusive event providing a guided tour through the Island’s varied landscape, thriving wildlife and rich heritage.
This friendly festival hosts a wide-range of walks led by knowledgeable volunteer walk leaders. You’ll easily find a walk that suits you – whether you’re looking for a shorter stroll or a day long hike across the Island.
