From Tuesday, 12 August to Thursday, 14 August 2025, the castle grounds will echo with the clash of lances and the cheers of the crowd as four legendary knights compete for glory.

Set against the backdrop of the historic Carisbrooke Castle, this event offers an immersive journey into the world of chivalry and valor.

Each knight, embodying a figure from myth and legend – such as The Wyvern, The Wildman, Sir Lancelot and Jason of the Argonauts – will showcase their prowess in a series of thrilling jousts.

Feel the ground tremble as horses charge, see lances splinter upon impact and choose your champion to support in this grand tournament.

Beyond the jousting arena, the castle comes alive with a host of medieval-themed activities:

• Medieval Encampment: Step into a living history camp where you can interact with characters from the past, learn about daily life in medieval times and perhaps even try on some armor.
• Falconry Displays: Marvel at the grace and power of birds of prey as they soar above the castle grounds in captivating demonstrations.
• Castle Jester: Enjoy the antics of the castle’s fool, whose performances promise laughter and amazement for all ages.

The event runs daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with the main jousting tournaments typically taking place around midday and mid-afternoon.

To ensure your spot and take advantage of a 15% discount, it’s recommended to book tickets in advance. English Heritage members enjoy free entry, but booking is still advised to guarantee admission.
