Leaving behind Sandown’s seaside promenade, this 12 mile walk takes you up on to the National Trust-owned Bembridge Down with its imposing Earl of Yarborough Monument, then down through woodlands near Whitecliff Bay. Continue to Bembridge, its beaches and harbour set against the spectacular backdrop of Culver Down, and onwards along rural tracks and more seafront promenades to the busy port town of Ryde.
