Fishbourne is a small village on the north east coast of the Isle of Wight. Home to the Island-side of our Portsmouth – Fishbourne route, it’s very much the gateway to the Isle of Wight, with excellent transport links.

Where is Fishbourne?

Running adjacent to Wootton Creek, Fishbourne is just east of the popular seaside town of Ryde and slightly north-west of the Island’s capital, Newport. It faces Lee-on-the-Solent on the mainland and has excellent views out across the sea.

Where can I stay in Fishbourne?

As a small village, accommodation options are light, but only moments from our Fishbourne port, you’ll find the Fishbourne – an Inn of Distinction serving excellent food with a number of room options.

Things to do in Fishbourne

Quarr Abbey is one of the Isle of Wight’s most popular destinations – especially if you’re after a moment of peace and quiet. Found just down the road from our Fishbourne Port, the abbey is home to a group of Benedictine monks and comes with a fascinating history.

Take a moment to explore the beautiful architecture and finish off your visit with a trip to the tea garden and farm shop.
