Wightlink celebrates Silver win at the British Travel Awards 2025

Wightlink is celebrating national recognition after being awarded Silver in the Best Ferry Operator for Routes from/to UK Ports category at the British Travel Awards 2025.

The award places Wightlink among the top ferry operators in the country and reflects the company’s continued commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality travel across the Solent.

The British Travel Awards (BTA) remain one of the most respected consumer-voted awards within the travel and tourism industry. Each year, the BTAs shine a spotlight on the very best operators, destinations and brands – highlighting those who are shaping the future of travel through exceptional service, innovation, and customer experience. Crucially, the awards are decided entirely by public vote, making Wightlink’s Silver win a direct endorsement from the customers who rely on its services.

This year, Wightlink was shortlisted alongside some of the UK’s largest and most well-known ferry operators, including Brittany Ferries, Stena Line and P&O Ferries. In this highly competitive category, Wightlink secured the Silver position, with Brittany Ferries taking Gold.

Wightlink CEO Katy Taylor says: “This award is testament to the dedication of our colleagues across Wightlink. As the British Travel Awards are voted for by the public, we are absolutely thrilled to receive Silver. It recognises the hard work of our teams, who are committed to delivering the best possible service to our customers every day.”

This is the fourth consecutive year Wightlink has finished in the top two at the British Travel Awards in this category, with the company winning Gold in 2023.  This consistency reflects Wightlink’s long-term focus on improving customer experience, investing in its fleet and terminals and ensuring smooth, reliable connections between the Isle of Wight and the mainland.

Wightlink also extended its congratulations to fellow ferry operators shortlisted for the prestigious award and thanked the thousands of people who voted in the British Travel Awards this year. “We’re truly grateful to everyone who continues to use our services and took the time to give us their vote,” said Katy. “The support from our customers means so much to us and we are committed to continuing to deliver the high standards they expect.”
