Wightlink is inviting customers to attend its next Meet the Team event, taking place in Yarmouth on Wednesday 22 April.
The session offers an opportunity for customers to speak directly with members of Wightlink’s senior team and share their views on the ferry service. Representatives from across the business, including customer service and operations, will be on hand to answer questions, discuss any concerns and hear suggestions on how services can be improved.
Wightlink says feedback from these events plays an important role in shaping the business, with several recent improvements made as a direct result of customer input.
Since the last Meet the Team session in January, the company has increased the number of sailings on the Yarmouth to Lymington route, responding to requests – particularly from Multilink pass holders – for greater availability and more frequent crossings during busy periods. Additional capacity has also been introduced to support the Island’s visitor economy following feedback from tourism partners.
Passengers travelling on the route may also have noticed upgrades on board, with all three vessels in the Yarmouth to Lymington fleet recently refurbished. Improvements include refreshed seating and interiors, along with upgraded facilities offering hot food options.
Communication has been another key focus. Wightlink has strengthened its engagement with accessibility groups to ensure customers are better informed in advance of planned works and kept updated during any unforeseen disruption. The company is also continuing to work closely with health groups, meeting regularly to better understand and respond to customer needs.
Sara Howden, Wightlink’s head of customer experience, said: “We are hugely grateful for the feedback we receive from our customers. These sessions really do help shape our services and we encourage anyone with feedback or ideas to come along and speak to us.”
The event will take place at Yarmouth Sailing Club from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday 22 April. All are welcome to attend.
