Our ports

Small e-vehicles, such as e-scooters and hoverboards, are banned from our ferries and customer buildings. Find out more.

We have three ferry ports on the mainland in Hampshire and three on the Isle of Wight, each with nearby parking, excellent transport links and food and drink outlets.

Some of our ports are for foot passengers only, while some ports take vehicles and passengers across the Solent. Explore our ports below.

Portsmouth Gunwharf car ferry port

Portsmouth is one of Britain’s most vibrant port cities and has excellent motorway and rail connections. Its convenient location makes it the perfect place to start your journey to the Isle of Wight.

You’ll find our Portsmouth Harbour port within Portsmouth Harbour railway station, making it ideal if you’re coming down by train. Our FastCat service takes you from here to Ryde on the Isle of Wight in just 22 minutes.

One of the most popular Isle of Wight destinations, Ryde is a pretty seaside town in the north of the Island. Our port sits at the end of the historic Ryde Pier, with our high-speed FastCats linking you to Portsmouth on the mainland.
