Disabled parking information

Customer parking is only available at Portsmouth Gunwharf, Fishbourne, Lymington and Ryde Pier Head. There is no Wightlink parking available at Portsmouth Harbour, so we recommend parking at our nearby Gunwharf port, and only council car parking at Yarmouth.

More information on the public car park at Yarmouth is available further up this page.

There are no parking discounts for Blue Badge holders in Wightlink car parks but if you travel regularly, you may benefit from a 30 day parking permit for use in any Wightlink car park.

Portsmouth Gunwharf

The customer car park is located directly opposite the Portsmouth Car Ferry port in Gunwharf Road. It is accessed via the entrance opposite the Gunwharf Quays residents entrance on Gunwharf Road, on the left just after the turn off for St Georges Road.

There are three disabled parking bays close to the exit, so you’ll need to drive in to the car park, turn around at the top and drive back towards the entrance/exit. The disabled parking bays can be found on the right hand side.

Payment machines are located on the pavement side of the car park. There is a kerb in front of the pay machines but you can also pay on your mobile via the Ringo App, zone number 22280.

To access the Portsmouth Gunwharf car ferry port to Fishbourne on foot you will need to cross the road at the entrance/exit end of the car park and follow the path left to the port entrance. The exit to the car park and the pathway on the opposite side of the road are step free.

If you are travelling on our Portsmouth Harbour FastCat service to Ryde Pier Head, you’ll need to follow a different route.

When you cross the road from the car park in Gunwharf Road, opposite the Portsmouth Gunwharf Car Ferry port, go through the wrought iron gates into Gunwharf Quays and follow the signs to Portsmouth Harbour Train Station.

Once you reach the train station you can access the inside by the stairs or ramp. When you are inside, turn right and walk through the wide check in gates to the back of the station where you will find the entrance to the Wightlink Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head FastCat service.

You will be required to walk down a slope to access the port. If you need any help, use the Assistance Call Point on the left hand side pillar.

Fishbourne

The disabled parking bay is located inside the port on the left hand side, nearest to the Customer Building.

There are no kerbs or steps to access the payment machine and you can also pay on your mobile via the Ringo App, zone number 22283.

Ryde Pier Head

We have four disabled parking spaces available opposite the port entrance. There is a marked walkway from the parking bays to the entrance with no kerbs or steps.

Payment machines are located around the car park and clearly sign posted but you can also pay on your mobile via the Ringo app, zone number 22285.

Please be aware the pier has a maximum speed limit of 10mph and height restriction of 2.25m.

Lymington

We have four disabled parking bays available at the customer building end of the car park, adjacent to the car parking machine.

You can also pay for parking on your mobile via the Ringo app, zone number 22281.
