Wightlink gets ready to join this weekend’s Coastline Clean-Up

As part of this year’s Isle of Wight Day celebrations, a team from Wightlink will be joining the Island’s Coastline Clean-Up, picking up plastics and other waste along Ryde beach on Saturday 21 September.
Wightlink is installing a new faster vehicle entry system for Ryde Pier. FastCat customers will have the choice to pay the toll by contactless credit/debit cards* or with Apple and Android Pay on smart phones as well as cash.

An ale created exclusively for Isle of Wight ferry company Wightlink by Island Brewery to celebrate the arrival of its new flagship Victoria of Wight has been named as one of the top beers in the country by organisers of the World Beer Awards.

It’s exactly a year since Wightlink’s £30million flagship Victoria of Wight arrived at her home port of Portsmouth after a voyage of more than 3,000 miles from the Cemre shipyard in Yalova, Turkey.
Wightlink apprentice Rosie Arrow has been presented with an Outstanding Achievement award from the Isle of Wight College for her hard work over the last two years.

Wightlink joins major international research project to support coastal marine life

Wightlink has teamed up with ecologists and engineers at Bournemouth University to take part in a European Union-funded €4.6million project to look at ways to protect the marine environment on both sides of the Channel.
Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan has seen the results of Wightlink’s £45million investment in its key route from the city to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight for himself on a visit to its car ferry terminal in Gunwharf Road.
